Baking with the husband

This Christmas, we decided to bake big, soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies for Ivan’s colleagues and Daniel’s teachers.

And so we had a baking date 🙂 Daniel was carted away by the grandparents and we spent a whole afternoon baking.

We have always liked the soft and chewy kind of chocolate chip cookies – the Subway kind, so we decided to do those instead of the usual crunchy chocolate chip cookies which we usually do. We decided to use this recipe by Martha Stewart.

They turned out to be quite yummy. However, we noticed that the cookies do not keep that well and go soft and crumbly quite quickly so we had to refrigerate them.

Baking with friends

Had a great baking session with fellow school counsellors Theresa and Ilyana.

It was our date for the school holidays and was glad we managed to do it! Enjoyed session together and the bonding over baking 🙂

We did peanut butter banana cupcakes and nutella chocolate chip cookies.

Our products were not that successful. We felt that the cupcakes were too dry and couldn’t taste the nutella in the cookies. I thought the cookies were too sweet too.

But it was a great time anyway …… and Theresa’s parents and husband enjoyed the cupcakes and cookies 🙂
